The original Honey Badger was developed at AAC by a previous owner and Q CEO, Kevin Brittingham, and his R&D team at the request of an elite US special operations group looking to replace their MP5-SDs with an upgraded platform. Requirements included the ability to shoot a rifle caliber round while maintaining low visibility and excellent signature suppression. Developed in conjunction with 300 AAC Blackout, the Honey Badger was born, exceeded expectations, but never made it to the commercial market.

Q focused on taking the iconic ‘Badger to the next level and improved upon every technical aspect of the first-generation design. From the gas system to the trigger, and telescoping stock – HB 2.0 does not disappoint. And this one will make it to your dealer.

Additional Details

Q introduced their evolutionary muzzle brake and silencer quick-attach system using their all-titanium Cherry Bomb muzzle device. It features concentric blast ports positioned 360* around the brake, a front-facing taper that automatically aligns their compatible rifle silencers, and installs with a 1/2″ socket using a port built into the front of the device. The taper not only aligns the silencer concentric to the bore, it also seals the silencer in front of the threads dramatically reducing fouling of the threads during firing. This makes removal after heavy use far easier, reducing the risk of carbon build-up.
