Universal gunpowder is capable of handling the widest range of cartridges for both pistol and shotgun use. This is the Clays gunpowder technology, which is intended for shooters who use 28-gauge ammunition.

Universal gunpowder performs admirably in a wide range of calibers, from the 25 ACP to the 44 magnum, and in gauges ranging from 28 gauge to 12 gauge. When fired, these powders burn cleanly and uniformly, just like the rest of the Clays gunpowder series.
