A cartridge is nothing more than scrap metal if it contains a primer. Richard Speer founded CCI to provide reloaders with a reliable source of component primers. CCI Primers were CCI‘s first product, released years before Mini-Mag, Stinger, or any of our other well-known ammunition offerings.

Because we test and improve our primers regularly, they are highly developed products. Compared to previous CCI primers, today’s primers are more sensitive, more accessible to sit on, and more compatible with advanced and automated loading equipment. CCI primers have always included non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator mixtures that are modern.

Primers with mil-spec sensitivity are available for reloading military-style semi-auto rifles in addition to our standard rifle, pistol, and shotshell primers. Benchrest primers and mil-spec sensitivity are also available with military-style semi-automatic rifles. The primers for the 50 BMG cartridge and percussion caps for muzzleloading enthusiasts are also available from us in high-quality quantities.
